3 Idiots is a film that appears borrowed from too many sources and the haphazardness shows. Editor-director Rajkumar Hirani can’t seem to shake Munnabhai out of his system and appears to have replaced the actor and the setting, while retaining the core formula. Unfortunately, 3 Idiots lacks the effortless simplicity, sweetness and honesty of the Munnabhai films. Though a bit too calculated and designed, 3 Idiots is still an ok option for the significant message, interesting cast and scattered breezy moments.
3 IDIOTS easily ranks amongst Aamir, Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra's finest films. Do yourself and your family a favour: Watch 3 IDIOTS. It's emotional, it's entertaining, it's enlightening. The film has tremendous youth appeal and feel-good factor to work in a big way.
Atlast i watched it too,The film is mindblowing,I know the story of five point someone and when i heard Aamir and Madhavan are playing college students i was shocked,Now after watching it i think nobody could have acted it perfectly than Aamir.He is so natural that i was finding hard to make my mind understand that it is a 44 year old man that is playing a teenager..Rancho is awesome..After Aamir it has got to be Boman Irani,He is so good at these kinda roles..then Madhavan was good too,He looked just like a next door boy to me..Direction was awesome too..But i felt that the Munnabhai hangover was there in the film..Like scenes where Rastogi is paralyzed and he is bought back to life again..and the scene where farhan convinces his dad about his future plans..
