Gautham Menon confirms VTV hindi remake and it's cast

Finally GM has confirmed that hindi remake of VTV will happen soon and the lead roles done by Trisha and Silambarasan(Simbu) will now be donned by Trisha and Prateik Babbar.Earlier it was rumored that Asin would be doing Trisha's role in Hindi.But now GM has gone on record and confirmed that Trisha will retained for the hindi version.He was quoted saying

After the shoot, we are all convinced that Prateik and Trisha makes a lovely pair and the two look good on screen. A Mumbai based stylist worked on Trisha and she look stunning and we have tried to make Prateik look mature and Trisha younger according to the demands of the script

The film shooting will start mostly by September in Mumbai.The locations will be Mumbai and Kerala.It was earlier rumoured that Trisha will be playing a Goan girl instead of a Malayali Christian girl from Kerala,But the director says there wont be any change.Javed Akhtar will pen the lyrics for the film and the music by AR Rahman will be retained with the new lyrics.
