Venkat Prabhu's 'GOA' arrives this Pongal

The much awaited film of Ace director Venkat Prabhu after Chennai 600028 and Saroja is finally releasing by Pongal.The film as usual has Premgi Amaren playing one of the protagonist.Then there is Subramaniyapuram Jai and Vaibhav from Saroja.The film produced by Soundarya Rajnikanth under Ocher studios is now all set for a pongal release.But the audio of the film done by Yuvan Shankar Raja has not yet been released.The audio launch was set on December 23rd but it has been postponed now.Sony Music has bought the Audio rights of 'GOA'.

Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya or VTV is Gautham Vasudev Menon's next flick starring little SuperStar Simbhu and Trisha in the lead.The thing to look out for is the music by the maestro AR Rahman.AR Rahman has composed 4 songs as there are songs sung by Simbu and Trisha also.This song is sung by Blaaze and was shot outside India.Enjoy this till the Audio launch on 25th December to be held in Chennai.

AR Rahman is the CNN-IBN Indian of the year 2009

AR Rahman(Allah Rakha Rahman) is the CNN-IBN Indian of the year.In a star-studded event it was Indian Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan singh who gave away the award to the music maestro.Rahman was also declared the recipient of the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year 2009 in the Entertainment category. He was awarded for his manifold achievements for putting India on the global entertainment map with his wins at the Golden Globe and Oscar Awards 2009.

Legendary sitar artist and composer Bharat Ratna Pt Ravi Shankar was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award, for his truly global musical spirit and unparallel achievements that have risen above cultural and national barriers, finding millions of admirers.

Another important highlight of the event was the Special Achievement award that was given to veteran actor Kamal Haasan for being India’s most versatile, and arguably one of the greatest actors on the Indian screens in a career spanning 50 years.
