British Doctorate for Shahrukh khan

Shahrukh Khan from Rab ne bana di jodi

Last year it was malaysia that honoured Shahrukh with a title of Datuk - akin.Now he is all set to recieve his first doctorate on July 10th from Britain's University of Bedfordshire. .The actor was chosen for the doctorate by NGO Routes to Roots, a member of the World Association of Non-Governmental Organization (WANGO) that works closely with universities and educational trusts in various countries, said a press release.

"I am delighted that Routes to Roots nominated me for the honorary doctorate in arts and culture from the Bedfordshire University, Britain, and it will be my pleasure to receive it personally July 10 in London," said Shahrukh Khan

Malayalam Scriptwriter-Director Lohitadas Passes away

A great loss to Malayalam film industry is what we have to comment on death of award winning scriptwriter - Director Lohitadas.He penned 44 scripts in Malayalam ranging from Mammotty's Thaniyavarthanam to his own Nivedyam.He died around 10.50 in the morning, due to a massive heart attack at a private hospital in Kochi.

He was a script writer who could be compared to legends like MT Vasudevan Nair,Late Padmarajan and Late Bharathan.His film 'Bhoothakannadi' had won the best film at National film awards in the respective year.He was taken to the hospital at around 10 following heavy chest pain and he was with his son and wife when he passed away.Most films that potrayed Mohanlal's acting skills came out of his pen from Kireedom to Kamaladalam.

May his soul Rest in peace.Your films and scripts will always live on forever.

The king of Pop Music has bid bye to his fans for the final time.A 13time Grammy award Winner MJ was born as the seventh child of the Jackson family on August 29th 1958.All most all his songs are chart toppers and his songs have stayed on top for almost 200 weeks.Jackson popularized a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists.

The Singer-Dancer died at his home due to a Cardiac arrest.He was preparing for the concert at london he was planning late this year.He died around 2:26 GMT.Thousands of fans all over the world are mourning his sudden departure.

The song 'Annarkanna Vaa, Poovala Changatham Koodan Vaa' was recorded at Mohanlal's new recording studio in Kochi. This melodious folk song, penned by Anil Pachooran and tuned by Mohan Sithara, will be picturised on Mohanlal himself.

Also in the cast are Suresh Menon, Madan Babu, Murali Krishnan, Baby Nivedhitha, etc. Bhramaram, which is likely to be completed in one schedule, is now rolling at the locations of Kochi, Munnar, Nelliyambathi, Coimbatore, Marayoor and Pollachi.

It was Shahid Afridi's day today.He was on a roll today so did Pakistan.Shahid Afridi took an unbeaten 54 to take Pakistan to an eight-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the Twenty20 World Cup final at Lord's on Sunday.He was announced the Man-of-the-match after his team had completed an easy victory with eight balls to spare against the previously unbeaten Sri Lankans.

Shahrukh Khan's Don 2 in 2010 - Confirmed

Finally it's confirmed as the producers themselves come forward and anounce this news.Director Farhan Akhtar will shoot Don 2 with the original star cast from May 2010 in Ireland and Berlin and says Shah Rukh will do some of the most heart-in-the-mouth stunts, making it his most audacious actioner yet.

When the proposal to do the sequel first came up, the superstar was very sure it would have to go beyond the first part in terms of locales, action and drama. Don 2 will be the first Indian film to be shot in Dublin, Ireland.

"We're shooting Don 2 in Dublin. No Indian film has been shot there. We want to make sure that the sequel goes ahead of the first film. While the first part was a remake (of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Don), the sequel is an original script and would be much tougher to film for Shah Rukh and Farhan," producer Ritesh Sidhwani told IANS.And there's Priyanka Chopra for company again. Though the actress has apparently been left out of Dostana 2, she's very much part of Don 2."We're very much going ahead with the original cast of Shah Rukh, Priyanka, Boman Irani, Arjun Rampal and Om Puri. Only those who died in the original won't return, obviously," said Sidhwani.

1. Om Mangalam: The album starts with track Om Mangalam, which is written, composed and performed by RDB along withNindy Kaur, who now a days featuring a lot in Bollywood movies (be it SIK or Aloo Chaat). Within a week of promo release, this track is on the charts and is sure gonna be a chartbuster. Initially I thought it to be the title track due to repeated Kambakkht Ishqthrough out the song. This song is fun, be it no-brainy lyrics, nasal singing (not like HR) or the catchy Hip-hop beats, the best part being I don’t think so by Bebo. So is track going to be a hit?? Yeah I do think so.

Remix: Reprised version of Om Mangalam is same as parent track but with a fast pace. But this remix was not at all required as the original one was fast itself.

2. Lakh Lakh: Remember Tera rang balle balle from Soldier where Bobby was teasing Preity. No!! No probs, here Annu Malik tries to create the same magic using the dhol percussion in this bhangara track. This one is crooned by Neeraj Sridhar (who has given many chartbusters along with Akki) in a modulated pitch. Well, the most noticeable point of this track is lyrics by AnvitaDas Guptan. Here is the example

Apart from these nonsensical lyrics what I loved most is the sudden drag and pick of the track. This track will also get its place in the Shaadi’s and Ladies sangeet where one needs to go for free style dance.
Electro-Dhol-House Mix: this one is remixed by Eric Pillai and as name suggests it’s full of electrical beats which suits the mood of the track.

3.BeBo: After two songs, I was quite amused by Annu, that till now no hitches. But this song forced me to think ki Kuch cheeje kabhi nahin badalti. Bebo is seductive-naughty-teasing track crooned by Alisha Chinai (in a typical irritating attitude and a sultry tone) and is dedicated to Bebo. This track is a typical Annu Malik track, which will surely gonna remind you of his old days. But somehow it failed to leave any expression on me partly due to lyrics

Chupke chupke mujhe, mud ke dekhe kuy ji, Saari saari hi main, teri teri hu ji
Dor daale zamanna, mera dil nahi maana, Teri ek hi nazar mein
dil ko hua hai yeh yeh wo wo, Bebo main bebo, dil mera le lo
and partly due to Alisha’s irritating voice.

Club Mix: The best part of this track is the arrangement of instrument, which will divert your attention from the lyrics and even Alisha’s voice. This remix by Kilogram K&G is much much better than the original one.

4. Kambakkht Ishq: Now comes the title track Kambakkht Ishq, crooned by KK along with Sunidhi. Well, though this track was backed with catchy techno beats based on some folk tune, rhythm and energetic singing, the main culprit are the completely nonsensical lyrics.
Aankhon ke do peg yeh pilaaye, Kaali kaali zulfein bichaaye
Phir yeh le ke baahein mulayam, Tum ko jhath se sooli chadhaye and
Kehti hai sau taare dila do, Maang mein phir unko saja do

May be the lyrics are according to the theme of movie (battle between sexes) and it may workin the movie, but while listening, this one is not working.

Remix: This track is remixed by Kilogram K&G, without much difference than the original one expect added English lyrics and party beats

5.Kyun: When this track started, I have to pick up the cover to check that is this by Annu Malik only?? This track was totally opposite to mood that album had set. This track is featured twice, once Shaan and Shreyaholds the center stage for this mellifluous track and later on Shreya alone holds the stage. The music of this track is inspired by 70’s track, specially the use of Tch tch tch, the one used in Bahoon me chale aao and Ab ke sajan saawan main (Chupke Chupke). The chemistry between Shaan and Shreya and the music along with some good lyrics finally make this track stand all alone in the album full of fast tracks. This track has written HIT all over it.

6. Welcome to Hollywood: I am considering this track as the theme track of the movie as it is mainly based in Hollywood. This track is composed by Salim and Sulaiman (somehow out of sync) and KarshKale and Anushka Manchanda gave there voice to the track that introduces the different aspects and sights of Hollywood. A Passable track.

Shahrukh Khan in trouble AGAIN..?

SRK compared the Prophet Mohammad to negative figures in history, such as Hitler. Obviously, these comments have offended many people in the Muslim community.

According to the rumors, the Mumbai Aman Committee has issued a complaint against Shahrukh Khan to the Bandra Police Station. They claim that SRK has offended the attitudes of their community and a clarification from the actor is in order.

According to reports, the interview, which was printed in "Time'n Style Luxury" magazine, reads as follows:

"According to you who is the most impressive figure in history?
'There are lots of them, some negative ones like Hitler, then Napoleon, Winston Churchill and if I can call it history, then Prophet Mohammed and from recent time - Nelson Mandela. And there are the nice ones like Gandhiji and Mother Teresa.'"

Earlier it was his smoking habits and rivalary with actors that made headlines.Seems like 2009 isn't a good year for SRK.Kolkatta Night Riders and their defeat sure has made 2009 unpleasant for him already.

The medical report of the 18-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja have confirmed that she was sexually assaulted, the police said.
"We have received the medical report of the victim and it has corroborated what the victim has alleged against the actor in the FIR (First Information Report)," Deputy Commissioner of Police Niket Kaushik told PTI.

Ahuja's home, where the alleged offence was committed, was sealed by the police after a special forensic team visited the house to obtain more evidence.Now the police men has got 100% evidence from the medical reports..
