Mohanlal symbolizes versatality, so it has not come as a surprise when the superstar expressed his wish to join the Territorial Army (TA), the voluntary part-time civilian force. Last year, the actor was conferred with the much coveted title of Lieutenant Colonel.Lalettan as he is fondly called by keralites is the only actor in India to recieve such an honour.Sports personality and cricketer Kapil Dev is the only other person to recieve this honour in the past.He has donned the role of Army officer in films like Keerthichakra and Kurukshetra both directed by Ex-Military officer and friend Major Ravi.
