Rahul Dravid is not a part of the final 21 shortlisted candidates for the position of coach of the Indian National Cricket Team. It seems now that he was not even part of the list of 56 who applied in first round.
The First Post reports that,
Among foreigners, former Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak and Stuart Law have sent in their applications. Other names floating around such as Rahul Dravid, Daniel Vettori and Tom Moody, have not applied.
Knowing Dravid, he must have opted out of the responsiblity since he would not be able to be 100% committed to the job at present. The coaching of Indian Team would take up a lot of time and effort. Come the right time and maybe in the next hunt for coach, he will be there among the others.
